Strategic partnership between Belgian companies Capsyra and Cubixion

Capsyra brings its field expertise and Cubixion its S3 storage platform. Together, they offer a pragmatic approach: protecting data against current threats while ensuring reversibility and long-term durability.

At a time when cyberattacks, regulatory requirements (NIS2, DORA), and technological dependence are redefining business priorities, Capsyra and Cubixion announce a strategic collaboration that transcends the traditional view of storage as merely a place to store data.

Beyond the physical location of data, the main challenge is now resilience: ensuring the accessibility, integrity, and recovery of information, even in the event of a crisis.

In this context, Cubixion brings its sovereign S3 storage module, operated in Belgium and designed for critical environments and modern backup strategies. This technology platform supports a broader ambition: to offer organizations a clear path toward long-term control of their data, reduce the risks of vendor lock-in, and enable true portability over time.

Capsyra: Permanent and Post-Quantum Preservation

For its part, Capsyra brings its expertise in digital resilience, operational continuity, and vendor-independent data architectures.

The Ypres-based startup combines a decentralized architecture, policy-based controls, and continuous cryptographic proof to preserve critical data for decades. The result is verifiable compliance and greater long-term economic certainty.

Capsyra emphasizes permanent and post-quantum preservation. In its environment, data is sealed with post-quantum-compatible encryption and distributed across independent locations. This design ensures resilience , integrity, and verifiability in the face of technological changes over long retention periods.

Retention rules, geolocation constraints, and audit requirements are enforced at the policy level to reduce manual compliance efforts and improve the consistency of controls.

Finally, every file, action, and storage location contributes to a cryptographic audit trail, enabling audit-level transparency and enhanced confidence during investigations.

Especially for MSPs

“This partnership allows customers to go beyond simply adding backup or storage capacity. It’s about protecting data over time, across all platforms and technologies,” explains Xavier Warnier, co-founder of Cubixion. “In the face of growing uncertainty and increased dependence on vendors, we see a real opportunity for local innovation to strengthen Belgium’s technology ecosystem and expertise.”

For Capsyra, this is a logical and important step, says Ruben Tacq, founder of Capsyra. “We are proud to be able to use local storage capacity at the heart of Europe. With Cubixion, we are not only strengthening our position in Belgium, but also expanding our ecosystem with reliable local partners.”

See you at Cybersec Europe

This collaboration is particularly aimed at managed service providers (MSPs) and organizations supporting end customers facing critical requirements for backup, rapid recovery, and compliance. By combining Capsyra’s on-the-ground expertise with Cubixion’s S3 storage platform, the goal is to offer a pragmatic approach: protecting data against current threats while ensuring reversibility and long-term durability.

Cubixion also notes that its deployment, currently concentrated in Belgium, will soon expand to three other EU- s, thereby strengthening the resilience and sovereignty options offered to its partners.

Both companies will be present at Cybersec Europe (May 20–21, booth 05A.060) to meet with managed service providers (MSPs), IT managers, and security decision-makers to discuss these issues.
