This is Artefact’s fourth acquisition in less than a year. This time, the focus is on the Benelux
Same philosophy, same ambition. Agilytic is joining forces with Artefact. The La Hulpe-based company is taking it a step further; it is expanding its offerings and will be able to undertake larger projects. A well-considered move
With about thirty employees and clients such as Helan, Partenamut, and BNP Paribas, Agilytic—the Brussels-based consulting firm specializing in data and AI, founded by Julien Theys and Christophe Robyns—has completed more than 400 projects since 2015. One of its strengths is its pragmatic, problem-solving approach. This approach guides clients from strategy through implementation, with execution handled entirely in-house.
Artefact, with 2,500 employees in some 30 countries and operating at the intersection of consulting, science, technology, and marketing, was already active in Belgium through Effixis, which was acquired in 2024. This is the fourth acquisition by the originally French group in less than a year, following the acquisition of Ofi Services (process intelligence and automation) and another in Germany, which is currently being finalized.
“We are committed to consolidating the data and AI sector. We aim to become the European benchmark for excellence in the implementation of AI in businesses,” said Vincent Luciani, co-founder and executive chairman of Artefact.
Scaling Up
For Agilytic’s clients, this partnership provides access to Artefact’s global capabilities, particularly the AI Factory model, hundreds of industry-specific accelerators, and an international network of consultants, engineers, and data scientists, while maintaining the proximity and pragmatism that have characterized the La Hulpe-based company since its founding.
“Either Agilytic remained independent and grew organically, or we joined a world-class group. Since we’re in the same business, we chose to scale up. We’ll be able to offer the scale and specialization of a global leader, wh ly maintaining the personalized support we’re known for,” said Julien Theys and Christophe Robyns, co-founders and Managing Partners of Agilytic.
Operationally, activities will continue and expand under the Agilytic name, which is “recognized and valued.” Julien Theys and Christophe Robyns will remain at the helm, and the approximately thirty employees will immediately benefit from the group’s support—both in terms of people and technology. “And we’ll keep hiring!”
Tangibly transforming a company’s performance
Vincent Luciani makes no secret of his ambitions: “to become the leading partner in data transformation and AI across all markets where we operate.” Agilytic shares this philosophy: AI only makes sense if it tangibly improves a company’s performance. And agent-based systems are driving a revolution at an unimaginable pace.
“We’ve always been convinced that AI is, first and foremost, a human story: the technology performs best when users understand it, trust it, and identify with it,” continues Guillaume Vanhalst, General Manager at Artefact Belgium. “And Agilytic was founded on that conviction. From our very first discussions, it became clear that our teams were on the same page and that together we could guide our Belgian clients through their AI ambitions, right through to day-to-day implementation—and do so in a shorter timeframe.”
“Belgium, and Brussels in particular, is a major hub of activity and innovation in the Benelux and Europe,” adds Arnold Struik, Managing Partner Europe at Artefact. “Agilytic offers us exactly what our clients need: top local talent, deep expertise in financial services, insurance, and retail, and a proven service model. Together, we can better serve Belgian organizations on a large scale, from AI strategy to implementation in the production environment.”
